Back when I was in grad school, seeking an MFA, we jabbered nonstop about different films, different developers, different papers, toners, the secrets of the Zone System. Black & White photography was the gold standard. Darkrooms were sacred caves.
Now everything is digital. Sure some dudes still hang on to the good old days. They are the same folks who love vinyl records. Truth is digital photography is far more versatile, far better. You have many more creative options; options that no darkroom offers.
Accepting the present may require courage. But one has to grow, learn, and adjust. And we all need to understand the tools of our time. Don’t hide in the darkroom. LOL
